- Dr. Neil Solomon, M.D., Ph.D.,

There are several ways in which Noni may alleviate many of the symptoms of arthritis. First, the numer one complaint from those who suffer from arthritis pain. Noni has been used for thousand of years to treat all sorts of causes of pain.
All N-SAIDs like Asprin, Ibuprofen affect the COX-1 and COX-2 enzymes within the human body. The COX-1 enzyme produces prostaglandins associated with maintaining the lining of the digestive tract, and protecting blood platelets. It is considered the “good” enzyme.

The COX-2 enzyme produces prostaglandins associated with inflammation and pain. It is considered the “bad” enzyme.

When treating arthritis you want to get rid of as much COX-2 as possible, thereby eliminating the paint. The over the counter N-SAIDs such as ibuprofen and aspirin can cause ulcers and colitis after chronic or long-term use because they inhibit both the “good” COX-1 and “bad” COX-2 enzymes.

On the other hand, Noni juice selectively inhibits the COX-2 (the bad enzyme that caues pain) while only minimally affecting COX-1 (the good enzyme) to continue protecting the body’s stomach lining and blood platelets. This brilliant discovery my explain many of the reasons that Noni has been used successfully to naturally control pain, not only in arthritis, but also in a whole host of other conditions, My published survey showed an 80% decrease of pain (Including headaches) associated with conditions other than arthritis.

Noni has been shown to contain scopoletin, which has anti-inflammatory and anti histamine effects, both of which are needed for smooth joint movement. Another component is Xeronine, the cell-building substance discovered by Dr. Ralph Heinicke, is also believed to help prevent and rebuild damaged joint tissue as well as promote a healthier immune system. Additional research reveals that Noni contains numerous essential nutrients (Including proteins, amino acids, vitamins and minerals) and a host of other ailments, which synergistically may contribute to Noni’s ability to fight pain.
